Willows big day has come Lisa Floros drove her all the way from Chicago to Michigan, to meet her new family the next day. "Willow was a wonderful travel companion! She was a great doggie guest in our home. What a cuddle bug! She does love attention! Lucky for her, she will get lots of it! Her parents absolutely LOVE her!

Their neighbor saw Willow and Cali, my tag along
setter, running in Willow's new yard. At first she
thought Cali was Bogie's ghost. Bogie (not IBR) was
their first setter that recently passed away! Once
she realized that Willow was the new dog in the house,
she turned into the doggie grandma next door, ready to
give out treats! Tony mentioned that Willow is on a
special diet and can only have special food. She
understood and asked when she would get a supply of
Willow treats so she can spoil her!
She was timid at first and her parents are so
understanding. Their only plans for the weekend are
to make Willow feel at home! Didn't take long! She
grabbed her "baby" and curled up on the couch! She
was sleeping when I left!
Willow with her new DAD ,Tony!
Willow is very comfy in her new home and will be snuggled non stop by her new parents, Dana and Tony!
Willow wasn't pleased that we only got to cuddle for 5 hours before we left to take her HOME!
Willow and Thelmalou hanging out together while Willow was getting all healed up at Lisa's house.
Lisa will be on a special diet the rest of her life that she won't have continous skin problems.
She even got to see a chiropractor for a hip adjustment.
Willow is sweet and cuddly and soaks all love and attention up like a sponge.
Willow has now arrived at Lisa's house who is treating her for the "worst fungal infection she's ever seen".
After two days of anti-fungal/anti-microbial shampoo, things already look better and she is now on a special diet that will help her heal up.
Through all the treatments, Willow is just the sweetest little girl.
And actually looks adorable even through the process of getting her all dried up after the bath--don't you think?
I am a sweet girl, I love when she pets me, I wasn't so sure at first, but I warmed up quickly. I'm learning what stairs are, although I'm a little timid with them right now, I bet when you come back for another update I'll be running up and down them in no time! And if felt so good to get a bath, I enjoyed it, I didn't try to get out of the bathtub, I smell so good now. I enjoy being around kids and other dogs, I have not been cat tested, but if you have a cat and you are interested in me the rescue can cat test me.
I'm Willow, an English Setter. I'm not sure how old I am, probably about 2 yrs old. I'm a tiny girl, under 40 lbs. Some nice volunteers took me in, I was found wandering around the parking lot in Morrow County, that is in Ohio.
Nobody came to get me. The volunteers think I had a litter about 3-4 months ago. I'm very shy and timid, but I warm up quickly as long as someone pets me. I'm told I'm going to go hunt testing this weekend and I'm going into foster care. I'm looking foward to that, a nice warm house to sleep in. Hey, do you have room for a friendly dog like me in your house?
We had the pleasure of meeting Willow during her journey from Ohio to Illinois.
Willow stayed at our house as an overnight guest.
Willow is a great passenger in the car. She's quietly curling up on the seat and waits just as patiently once you've arrived somewhere, until you are ready to take her out of the car.
She was happy to meet all the dogs and very curious to explore the house.
Before Willow came into IBR she might never have lived the good life in a cozy home. So many things seemed absolutely new to her....such as a slippery kitchen floor, which she still mastered, just because she was determined to visit with you...and the hallway mirror, before which she stood in amazement ("who is that handsome girl in there?)
Willow has the sweetest personality and is a cute wiggle butt, when she's excited. She actually dances when she's a happy girl. She also LOVES any kind of rawhide chews, and kept herself quietly busy when we were relaxing in the family room.
Willow loved to be exploring the yard even though it was covered in snow and was not making any attempt to go over our 3 1/2 foot chain link fence.
We had great fun with this cutie pie of a setter girl and hope she'll find her forever home really soon!
